Michael Garcia has over 20 years of experience in thematic investing. Most recently, he was a Director with Willis Towers Watson (WTW) where he was a member of the Thinking Ahead Group (TAG) and drove thematic investing and advisory efforts for the firm. Prior to joining WTW, he founded Ripple Advisors, a thematic strategic advisory business and was exclusively engaged by a leading Canadian Pension Plan to co-develop and execute the firm’s first multi-asset class thematic program. In his past professional experiences, he was a co-founder of Greater Pacific Capital, LLP, a thematic private equity firm. He also served as a partner and portfolio manager for Nordea Investment Management (Copenhagen, DK), where he headed thematic strategy across the equity division, co-managed the Global Core Equity Fund and served as a voting member on the Investment Policy and Strategy Committee. He earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Wheeling Jesuit University and an M.A in European Studies/International Relations from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. He was a visiting fellow at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.
