Charles joined Foundation Capital in 2005 and since then he has made fourteen investments, including PowerSet to Microsoft, Xoopit to Yahoo! and Adwhirl to Google. Prior to joining Foundation, Charles spent five years with Tellme Networks, where he led the company in raising $125 million in cash, one of the largest private financing rounds in the country post-internet bubble. Prior to Tellme, Charles was a member of the founding team of internet access provider @Home Network. After the company went public, he assisted in the $7 billion acquisition of Excite Network. Earlier in his career, Charles spent three years in the Mergers and Acquisitions practice at Merrill Lynch. Charles holds a BS degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and received his MBA from Harvard University.
